150 Time Capsule
At the Institute’s AGM on Friday 21 November 2025, the 150th Celebration Time Capsule chest was officially sealed. It will remain here in the REHIS office to mark our 150th anniversary. It captures a snapshot of who we were at this milestone, with the hope that future members will look back on our time with the same insight and appreciation we felt while reflecting on our history.

History of the Time Capsule
The Time Capsule was designed and crafted by the Grassmarket Community Project Wood Workshop – Grassmarket Community Project using reclaimed teak wood. The design is in Georgian Style in keeping with the Institute’s office based in the Georgian part of Edinburgh. The interior is lined with the REHIS official tartan.
